Welcome to Camp Kindergarten! This year my classroom theme is camping. I hope you enjoy the classroom tour!
Classroom view from my door.
Check out our forest friend pom-poms. Theirs a raccoon, moose, skunk, hedgehog and fox. In back you can see my reading corner!
I have a open and big reading corner this year!
We have bean bags I found at Target on clearance for 19.88 and the Campfire is from Land of Nod. The book bins are from my Donors Choose project last year. All of the colored locker bins are from Dollar Tree.
Next up…here is my favorite place. My small group table. This year our district has implemented an intervention time for students who need extra practice and this is where we do guided reading and math.
The white shelves my husband and father-in-law helped me build. I have baskets labeled with skills for small group activities. You can find the labels for free here. The bulletin board on the right is our Sight Words. See below for an update for this year’s sight word fun!
Here is the animal sight word groups; Fox, Raccoon, Skunk and Moose. Each animal set has their own group of words.
Here is my writing center. I use DeeDee Wills writing stations on the right and the left I use my Kindergarten Writing Checklist Set. You can find this on my TPT here. And my burlap alphabet posters above my writing center can be found here.
Here are a few other pictures from my room:
My math center bins and manipulatives are in the 3rd photo. Some of my literacy bins are in the 2nd photo.
